At Safe Defenses we offer a variety of fencing options to make sure that your pool looks exactly the way that you want it to, while keeping it safe. Here are some optional pool fencing features offered to our Las Vegas customers.
Terminating Post
- Self-supporting and free standing
- No drilling into existing structures
- Completely removable
Ideally you would want your safety fence to completely enclose your swimming pool area. However, sometimes enclosing the entire swimming area is not possible, or practical. For these special situations, normally the pool safety fence would be attached to an existing structure such as a wall or fence, if the existing structure is solid and stable.
If the existing structure is not stable, or drilling is not desirable, then the Safe Defenses Rectangular Terminating Post (RTP) can be used. Rectangular Posts are strong rigid posts that can support the tension of the fence, without having to attach it to an existing structure. The Rectangular Terminating Posts are fully removable and ensure your swimming area completely enclosed.
Structures where a Safe Defenses Rectangular Terminating Post should be considered rather than a traditional wall attachment would be: vinyl fences, glass fences, stucco walls, wrought iron fences, unstable wood fences, granite, slate, vinyl siding, chain link fencing and stone veneer.
Angled Raised Panel
Changes in elevation present a safety concern due to the risk of a small child being able to climb the high elevation and then “stepping” over the top of the lower fence. There are several ways to transition between differing elevations, however, the level of safety and aesthetic quality achieved by each approach can vary. At Safe Defenses, we offer the options of Angled Raised Panel. A custom Angled Raised Panel produces the safest and most aesthetically pleasing result. Make sure your pool is safe and secure even when there is raised elevations by having a fence that conforms to your specific needs and maintaining the level of safety that is required.
Square Corner Posts
At Safe Defenses we suggest square corner posts, as opposed to standard tubing, to seamlessly handle corners around your pool. Without corner posts your pool fence will not allow for 90 degree turns and can be difficult to maintain wrinkle free mesh. An alternative to square corner poles is referred to as the ‘double pole corner’ method. While it will work it is difficult to maintain the spacing between the poles due to bowing and makes it challenging to maintain a wrinkle free mesh.
Benefits to using square corner posts include
- Great Strength
- Fewer Wrinkles
- More Versatility
- Less Flexibility
- Increased Rigidity
When a standard pole is used at a corner or sharp turn, the pole tends to flex and bow under the tension of the fence itself. This flexing causes the mesh to wrinkle.
