What is Covered

This warranty covers manufacturer defects in materials or workmanship, with the exceptions stated below.

How Long Coverage Lasts

Your warranty coverage begins on the date your product is installed and paid for in full. Coverage terminates if you sell or otherwise transfer ownership of the product.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

• damage caused by:
  • misuse, abuse, accident, fire, earthquake, winds, flood, or other “acts of God”
  • animals, rodents or pets
  • improper or unauthorized repair/alteration, lack of proper maintenance or neglect
  • failure to comply with proper use as indicated in users manual
• on-site inspections, demonstrations or adjustments after the installation date.
• shipping, handling, freight or delivery charges
• lost, stolen or misplaced items
• securing the area while the barrier is “awaiting” or “during” repair
• electrical devices and/or alarm accessories sold in conjunction with the pool safety barrier

What The Manufacturer Will Do

The manufacturer of Safe Defenses products. The manufacturer will repair or replace, at our discretion, any product that proves to have manufacturer’s defects in materials or workmanship. We reserve the right to make the final determination as to warranty applicability following inspection at the manufacturers inspection facility.

How To Get Service

Step 1- You must contact the Safe Defenses dealer in your area and discuss the defect that you have identified.

Step 2- You will need to provide the dealer with proof of purchase (paid invoice) and photographs of the defect. If you are unable to provide photographs, you may request that the dealer take the photographs. There is a nominal fee for this service.

Step 3 – Upon receipt of proof of purchase, and photos of the defect, the dealer will submit your claim to the manufacturer. If the manufacturer determines, without further inspection, that the defect is within the scope of its warranty, the manufacturer will provide you with new, like or similar components at no charge. If you are unable to install the replacement components yourself, you may request that the dealer perform the installation for you. There is a nominal fee for this service.

Step 4 – If the manufacturer requires further inspection, you must ship or deliver the defective product to the manufacturer at the above noted address. If you cannot ship or deliver the product to the manufacturer, you may request that the dealer pick-up the defective product and ship it for you. There is a nominal fee for this service and the related shipping costs. If upon further inspection, the manufacturer determines that the defect is within the scope of its warranty, the manufacturer will replace the defective components with new, like or similar components and will return the product to you, return freight pre-paid (only within the continental United States).

Step 5 – If the manufacturerdetermines that the defect is not within the scope of the warranty, you may still choose to have the manufacturer perform the necessary repair. In this case there will be charges for the repair as well as shipping charges to and from the manufacturer. In some cases, your dealer may also be able to perform the repair work for a nominal fee.

General Conditions And Exclusions

This limited warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties. Safe Defenses makes no other express warranties, and does not authorize any other person or agent to make any other express warranties. Safe Defenses neither assumes nor authorizes any other liability or obligation in connection with this product. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty, including without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose with respect to this product, is limited in duration to the term of this limited warranty. In no event shall Safe Defenses be liable for any consequential, special, or incidental damages arising out of or connected with the purchase or use of this product or for any breach of warranty.

How State Law Applies

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
